The Foster Care Issue- YOU can make a difference!

In the USA today, there are an estimated 500,000 children in foster care. These overwhelming statistics signify that foster care enrollment has reached epidemic proportions. Although each state has different organizations working together to address the issue, it is not sufficient to guarantee a dignified, nurturing existence for every child. This is why Operation Orange seeks to find solutions to this pressing dilemma.

To attain our goals we need to build emergency shelters to provide safe havens for abused children when first removed from their dysfunctional homes.

To meet our objectives we need qualified foster parents--people who are willing to accept these children into their own homes--people who are available to offer a stable, stimulating upbringing to encourage them to mature into healthy productive adults.

To realize our dreams we must provide aging out group homes to address the needs of the thousands of children who suddenly find themselves lost and homeless when at eighteen years of age, they are released from foster care.

To achieve our purpose we need sponsors willing to help raise funds for food, clothing, school supplies, holiday gifts, and other necessities which make life more comfortable and enjoyable. To accomplish this--we need YOUR help!
But despite the great need—there is a solution. You can be part of a global team working to change the lives of abused and abandoned children. How? By logging on to my web site!

Each month my blog will focus on one of the many issues addressing foster children today, with a link supplying information on how you can provide resources to make a difference.

But I welcome your feedback also. Please EMAIL me about organizations, initiatives and programs in your neighborhood and or place of worship that are supporting this cause. I will post them in my blog-- or just email me to discuss how we can eliminate the plight of these abused and abandoned children.
